Job Description
Provides project leadership in the areas of design, investigation, analysis, and construction of Tailings Dams and Mining projects
Competent to serve as Engineer-of-Record on design and design-build projects and serves as primary point of contact with the client
Plans, directs, and supervises all operations included in a mid- to large, complex projects or several moderately sized projects with greater risk and complexity, and significant financial impact
Work with existing and potential clients to provide long-term solutions for mine tailings facilities
Develop project proposals and work with mining business leader to support and grow Mining practice
Provide direction to and mentoring to other technical staff in completing project tasks
Performs independent technical reviews of engineering reports and design and signs off on work
May be responsible for Project teams that include 5 or more members often representing multiple disciplines including subcontractor(s)
Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering project, focusing on the design and operations of mine tailings projects
Provide advice and consultation to client on engineering matters, including compliance with government laws and regulations
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Professional Engineer (PE) License
Preferred Qualifications:
MS + 15 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience as engineer of record (EOR) or deputy engineer of record (DEOR) on mine tailings projects
Experience with conventional tailings dam design, monitoring and operations
Experience with design of tailings dams with multidisciplinary teams
Familiarity with design reports, drawings and specifications
Experience in leading tasks with effective delegation skills
Knowledge of standard geotechnical and hydrological software program and evaluations
Must be resourceful, highly organized, professional with attention to detail and people

Offered rate of compensation for Denver, CO. will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $93,000.00 to $130,000.00
