Workplace Strategy and Design at AECOM is rapidly evolving as we respond to recent events and we are using our skills across multiple sectors and scales to create future focused solutions. Working as a collaborative team player, this role will include being responsible for excellence in delivering specific activities within a project, including client interaction, communication, workshop and stakeholder engagement planning, workplace strategy research, data analytics, visualization, presentation preparation and report writing, with oversight from senior team members.

Desirable Experience

Candidates will be expected to possess experience in one or more of the following:

  • Workplace strategy, planning and design

  • Communication strategy, branding and marketing

  • Creating and delivering change management strategies

  • Experience in user research, design strategy, and space programming

  • Design background in architecture, planning, interiors, product or user experience design

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, open, creative environment

  • Ability to participate in workshops, focus groups and presentations

  • Critical thinking and persuasive writing skills

  • Familiarity with research methodologies and processes

  • Flexibility and the ability to work on multiple projects in multiple teams

  • Passionate about creating human-centered experiences and environments to support equity, diversity and inclusion, health and wellbeing, and sustainability

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, planning, interior design, graphic design, communications, psychology, or another relevant field plus two (2) years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in architecture, planning, interior design, graphic design, communications, psychology, organizational change management, data analytics or another relevant field

  • PROSCI change management certification

  • LEED, Fitwel or WELL certifications

  • Experience in Revit or other space planning / design CAD systems

  • Knowledgeable in Tableau, PowerBI or other data analytics or data visualization platforms

  • Demonstrable experience in workplace strategy, experience design, change management or similar field

  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and InDesign, strong graphics skills

  • Excellent communication skills - able to convey complex ideas and messages in a simple and clear way
