Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Civil Project Manager responsible for supporting and leading projects for water, municipal, and wastewater clients primarily in El Paso, TX, but to also include national projects including planning, designing, and preparing plans related to water resources planning and infrastructure.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Technical oversight of design staff and team members for civil/water resources projects including but not limited to hydrologic, hydraulic, water quality design, and utility design infrastructure such as storm sewer, water main, and sanitary sewer, municipal water projects, and transportation drainage design.
Participates in project opportunity evaluation, consultant selection, and the preparation of AECOM's qualification/experience statements.
Coordinates and participates in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors and drafts complex professional service agreements and addenda for review by senior management.
Directs project team and client compliance with contract terms and monitors subcontractors' compliance with contractual commitments.
Prepares project work plan, scope, schedule, and budget, and communicates these to project team members; monitors/manages project production for compliance with schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
May supervise technical professionals, associate project managers, and design staff including workload and staffing management.
Monitors and reports financial status of projects to technical managers.
Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineer and 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Texas Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience leading projects and building client relationships
10+ Years of Water or Municipal project design experience
Experience with drafting and modeling software such CADD i.e. Civil 3D and GIS.
Experience with HEC-RAS, XPSWMM, WinSLAMM, HydroCAD, HY-8, or other water resource modeling programs software preferred
Experience reviewing stormwater management reports and site or transportation construction plans.
Additional Information
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $100,000.00 - $130,000.00.
