Job Summary

Working with the Project Superintendent and Project Manager, responsible for assisting in directing activities of construction craftsmen within an assigned area of responsibility (with an emphasis on MEP- mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems) . Receives routine supervision and direction in the performance of assigned responsibility. Receives technical and operational direction from the assigned supervising Project Superintendent or Project Manager.

Location: Erie, PA

  • Directs sub-contractor activities within the area of responsibility

  • Analyzes manpower, material, equipment requirements, and interfaces the requirements with others as designated by supervising superintendent

  • Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction Management

  • Prepares reports and forecasts, as required, and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities

  • Assists superintendents in the preparation of construction methods, schedules, manning charts, material and equipment requirements

  • Supervises and directs subordinate non-manual personnel, as assigned

  • Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when in the operational area, tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely

Minimum Requirements

  • BS in Construction Management or Engineering discipline- as an entry level job, with prior internship experience in construction mgt.

  • OR- a combination of technical education and some field experience, generally gained through internships and assisting superintendents in managing trades and crafts workers.

  • Must be able to travel within the Erie, PA area to multiple job sites (Mileage reimbursement will be paid)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in commercial construction management for a GC, to include some data center or network systems support, especially for MEP (mechanical , electrical and plumbing systems)
