AECOM is seeking a full-time Field Integration Lead to support the Squad Multipurpose Equipment Transport (SMET) program. Each position will serve as the central liaison between Infantry Brigade Combat Teams (IBCT), four Squad Multipurpose Equipment Transport (SMET) Vendors, and the Product Manager (PdM) Applique Large Unmanned Ground Systems (ALUGS) office.
Purpose and Scope
Performs as the on ground SMET Subject Matter Expert at each location. Performs administrative duties such as gathering and reviewing a variety of narrative and statistical data and conducts analysis pertaining to system performance. Coordinates, schedules, and reports on all SMET Technology Demonstration events. Participates in all SMET Working Groups, Integrated Product Team, New Material Introductory Brief, and War Game events. Provides research and guidance in each of those respected areas of responsibility. Conducts data collection and analysis during SMET missions and communicates the results as directed by the PdM ALUGS leadership. Provides SMET operator training to US Army Soldiers as needed. Monitors, tracks status, coordinates, and reports all maintenance repair actions on the SMET platforms.
Attend SMET training at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, MI, then serve as the Subject Matter Expert at your duty location as well as be the instructor for the SMET platforms.
Interface with IBCT customers to determine specific needs and requirements. Coordinate with customers to schedule SMET training, usage, and any needed technical insertions.
Interact with SMET Vendors regularly for maintenance and repair actions. Report and advise Government leadership on the results.
Assist with investigation and resolution of operational problems or changes needed to improve the system.
Perform management level customer interface, including responsibility for contractual deliverables and overall task execution.
Develop required technical and management documentation in support of customer and program requirements.
Provide research and recommendations to the Government to address needs identified by the SMET Integrated Product Team and Working Group.
Collect, consolidate, and analyze data from all SMET missions; conduct and gather information from users during these events.
Travel as needed to support SMET events and program requirements.
Identify, prepare, update, and review draft programmatic documentation IAW DoD 5000.2 as needed to support the SMET program.
Develop, maintain, and publish supporting and briefing documents and reports to the SMET SharePoint portal or as directed by the contract and customer leadership.
Candidate must be willing to travel to and from the customer’s various locations for program requirements. May involve airline travel and up to 30 days at a time. Position requires up to 20% travel.
Proof of US Citizenship required. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Active Secret Clearance is preferred.
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position will require typing and reading from a computer screen. Candidate must have sufficient mobility to include but not limited to: bending, reaching, climbing, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. Must be willing and able to follow Soldiers into and out of training areas and ranges.
Generally, work is conducted in an inside office environment, but will also involve some outside work depending on the task. The inside environment will be a cubicle in an office with close quarters, low to moderate noise, and bright or dim lighting. Outside work may include various environmental conditions including warm and cold climates. Candidate needs to be able to work well with co-workers, customer, and all levels of company management. Work site is located at or near Fort Campbell, KY and Fort Drum, NY.
Regular hours will be Monday - Friday between the hours of 6:00 am - 6:00 pm. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Candidate must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations if the customer mission requires.

Four (4) year degree in a related discipline.
Five (5) years of experience performing similar functions.
Prior military service with experience with Cavalry or Infantry small unit tactics and Army Doctrine required.
Knowledgeable in Army Maintenance standards, processes, and procedures.
Candidate must be familiar and comfortable working with computers and Microsoft Office suite software.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills.
Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
Prior experience in the Army Robotics program.
Ability to coordinate long and short range planning to support operations.
Product design and release experience.
Experience with manufacturing and process engineering disciplines.
Knowledge of design validation testing.
Program management experience.
Management of cost/schedule/performance for rapid development programs.
Ability to conduct make/buy analysis.
Industry product development experience.
Experience with Systems Integration.
Knowledge of the DoD Acquisition Process.
