Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Civil Engineer I for immediate employment in the Franklin, TN office.
This position is expected to begin April/May 2022 .

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Computer-aided design support for solid waste facilities, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, ash pond closures, earthen dams, impoundments, and related facilities,
Computer-aided design and drafting of site layout, drainage, roadway, grading, and utility systems using tools including, but not limited to AutoCAD, Civil3D, WaterCAD, and HydroCAD.
Supports report preparation, site reconnaissance, and communications with multi-disciplinary AECOM project team
Understanding and applying regulations to develop standards and theories necessary to carry out project design and permitting work
Organize and prepare reports, maps, drawings, tests, and other topographical and hydrologic data to plan and design projects
Incorporates schedules, budgets, constructability, and other project criteria into Civil design and layouts
Conduct occasional site reconnaissance to examine field conditions, drainage and erosion control needs, as-built conditions, etc.
Efficiently employs standard techniques, procedures, and criteria while developing advanced methods to improve efficiency
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related engineering field, minimum
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong organizational, technical, and communications skills
Commitment to working efficiently to complete tasks within allotted schedule constraints
Preferred Qualifications
0-2 years of Civil Engineering experience
Demonstrated experience using AutoCAD and/or Civil3D for civil engineering-related projects including stormwater, grading, roadway, and pipe networks.
Demonstrated experience using HydroCAD.
Experience in site development and erosion control and stormwater design.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred (not required)
