AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Construction Engineer for employment in the Franklin, TN office.
The start date for this position is flexible. Interested candidates can begin employment between March 2021 and June 2021.

We provide advisory and technical services to help clients cleanup and close contaminated sites and surplus operational facilities and restore them for reuse, plan and permit new facilities, address critical climate change issues, restore habitats and water quality, protect natural and cultural resources, maintain compliance, and cost effectively manage residuals and wastes.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision
Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work and walk in indoor and outdoor construction site environments with uneven terrain and variable conditions including heat, cold, dusts and noise. The overall physical demands of this position are moderate. Position requires frequent (more than 50% of the workday) standing/walking, operation of vehicles, and performing keyboard/mouse operations; often (25-50% of the workday) working in an environment of heavy, moving, dangerous equipment, and performing repetitive or fine hand movements; rarely (less than 10% of the workday) performing repetitive bending and stooping, climbing stairs, and lifting less than 25 pounds. Position requires wearing associated personal protective equipment, including but not limited to gloves, safety glasses/goggles, safety shoes/boots, hard hat, and hearing protection.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
U.S. Citizenship required
Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check; many projects/clients are security sensitive.
Must possess a valid driver's license
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
OSHA 10 Hour Construction Outreach Training/Card
Previous relevant internship experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong organizational, technical and communication skills
Ability to work independently or within a team environment
Willing to travel, if required, to provide field resident engineering oversight on jobs that may potentially last several days or weeks
