Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Proposal Specialist to join our business development team in Germantown MD. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting Federal Government proposals through the acquisition life cycle. You will work collaboratively with Proposal Managers and proposal team members.

Primary job responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing solicitation documents and requirements to develop compliant response templates (e.g., compliance matrices, proposal outlines)

  • Establishing and coordinating schedules and meetings

  • Maintaining version control of proposal documents

  • Editing and performing general quality control on proposal content

  • Performing desktop publishing activities and managing the final production of proposals

  • Managing small responses to solicitations such as task orders or requests for information

  • Writing proposal content, as needed, for sections such as past performance, resumes, and other sections not requiring subject matter expertise

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have at least 7 years of experience working in similar roles preferable in a federal proposal and/or business development environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized

  • Able to work on both team-based and independent tasks

  • Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Word.

  • Strong capabilities with Power Point , SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro

  • Possess initiative and ability to work effectively in high-stress situations with tight deadlines and to prioritize activities as needed to accomplish assigned tasks

Preferred Qualifications

Federal Government proposal experience
