Job Description
AECOM is seeking for a talented and experienced Subject Matter Experts III for employment in our Washington, DC offices.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provides insight and advice concerning strategic direction and applicability of current, industry standard or innovative solutions based on in-depth understanding of the latest developments relevant to a specialized functional area.
Responsible for providing high level vision to program/project manager or senior leadership to influence objectives of complex efforts.
Provides guidance on the functional procedures/processes/policies reflecting detailed knowledge of functional areas.
May lead in-depth research in support of studies and analyses.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Broad background in Homeland Security
Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check; many projects clients are security sensitive.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
Must be a US citizen.
Must possess or be able to obtain Top Secret or Secret security clearances.
Preferred Qualifications :
Advanced Degree or such equivalent credits/certifications + 15 years of relevant experience or 20 years of relevant experience.
Applicable Certifications; work experience with DHS S&T, other DHS Directorates, and/or other consulting for the federal government.
Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in an indoor/office environment. Position requires often keyboard/mouse operations; occasionally standing/walking; rarely working with arms above shoulder level, repetitive bending/stooping, climbing stairs, repetitive or fine hand movements, and lifting 50 pounds or less.
