Job Description
AECOM’s Risk Management is seeking a Junior Estimator supporting our Water Business Line estimates and engineering estimate efforts. This position can be performed remotely, provided residency is within the Continental United States.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Provide cost estimating support for our Water/Wastewater, Environmental, Federal/Facilities, Transportation and Energy estimating efforts. Estimates will vary from AECOM Estimate Classification Level 1-5 (conceptual to hard bid). Including detailed take-off, cost estimating, construction methodology, tact and approach, determination of crewing and productivity, proposal schedule generation, subcontractor/vendor solicitation and coordination, scope development, evaluation/comparison, bid day spreadsheets, bid report preparation, constructability reviews, value engineering. Travel to pre-bids and site visits.
Type of Projects:
Water/Wastewater, Environmental projects, such as Environmental Remediation, Soil Stabilization, Landfill, Groundwater Treatment, Soil Vapor Extraction, Slurry walls, UXO,
Federal facilities such as DoD facilities, Federal housing, Demolition/Decontamination, Asbestos abatement, Lead abatement, Wetlands restoration, Biofuels, Diesel fueling facilities, POL facilities.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BS in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, Construction Engineering or Construction Management + 2 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Demonstrated e xperience in estimating projects from $200k to $30M.
Experience in environmental, heavy civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and federal facilities
Proficiency in Sage Timberline Estimating, Bluebeam or Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Requirements:
5 years Construction/Environmental experience with 2 years estimating.
Field experience and Federal contracting experience desired.
Ability to communicate, organize and manage multiple estimates.
Organized, self-starter with a strong ability to communicate.
Ability to work individually, or in teams.
Must be capable of working in a remote office from supervisor.
Proficiency On-Site, MCACES, RACER, PACES, Primavera SureTrak, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project

Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $83,200 - $93,600.
