AECOM Construction Intern III in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Construction Intern III for our Grand Rapids, MI office.

This position is expected to start in May 2022.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides support to the Construction Engineering group on a variety of Transportation Construction projects.

  • The intern will work both in the office and in the field under the direction of engineers to support Construction staff on engineering calculations, quantity calculations and cost estimates.

  • Perform field inspections, take field measurements and oversight of material testing on road and bridge construction projects.

  • Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.

  • Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study

Minimum Requirements

  • The candidate must be currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited program

  • Must have completed two years of study in the applicable program

  • Valid DL

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS)

  • The position requires to work in an office and field environment

  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

  • Relocation is not available for this position.
