Job Summary

AECOM is seeking engineers with 10+ years of experience in applying Radio Frequency (RF) engineering principals to provide technical and management oversight in the processing of spectrum certification requests for legacy and emerging spectrum dependent technologies. Position requires understanding of a wide variety of spectrum dependent systems including radars, communications, data links, and SATCOM. Responsibilities will include technical review of emerging spectrum technologies, coordination and deconfliction of Navy operations in dense electromagnetic environments, development and review of policies and procedures, and finally coordination both nationally and internationally

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Review and submit Spectrum certification documentation

  • Provide technical oversight and instruction to a team of engineers

  • Act as the quality control for all project deliverables

  • Support/Represent the DON in a wide variety of spectrum engineering forums

  • Act as the Project manager for a staff of 8-10

Minimum Requirements

  • Possess an engineering degree from an accredited university or college,

  • 10+ years’ experience with applying the principles of the performance of the Radio Frequency Engineering analysis.

  • Requires Secret clearance; Preferred: TS (SCI eligible).

  • Must be a United States citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the either the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) or the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) system certification process

  • Knowledge of any of the following softwares: Spectrum Certification System (SCS), Equipment Location Certification Information database (EL-CID), Spectrum XXI, Host Nation Spectrum Worldwide Database Online (HNSWDO), or Stepstone

  • Experience with Identify Friend or Foe (IFF) equipment or standards

  • World Radio Conference Support

  • Development of Spectrum related standards and policies
