AECOM Chemist II - Denver in Honolulu, Hawaii

Job Summary

AECOM is looking for an experienced Project chemist to support AECOM's remediation practice, this position would report to the Denver, Colorado office. This is a 100% remote telework position and this role can sit anywhere in the United States.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Validate analytical chemical data in accordance with DoD, USEPA National, USEPA Regional, and State guidelines.

  • Solicit analytical laboratory services and evaluate for project use.

  • Act as liaison between laboratory, field team, and project management during project implementation.

  • Prepare data usability summaries included in client deliverables.

  • In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be:

  • Comfortable working with a team toward a common goal, while working independently on individual tasks.

  • Detail oriented while still able to understand/comply with the big picture/goals of a project.

  • Able to work with minimal supervision

  • A self-learner with the ability to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities.

  • Strong oral and written communicator.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA or BS in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or other related area.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental analytical chemistry, either as a laboratory analyst, data validator, or combination of both.

  • Valid Driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred 4 years of experience in environmental analytical chemistry, either as a laboratory analyst, data validator, or combination of both.

  • US Citizen/US Permanent Resident.

  • Candidate must be proficient with basic computer programs; Microsoft Suite Programs.

  • Project Chemist experience.

  • Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs) development.

  • Familiarity with FUDSChem or EQuIS databases is a plus.

Additional Information:

  • Relocation is not available for this position.

  • Due to the nature of this role, US citizenship is required.

  • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range is 47490 - 77,000 annually
