Job Description

AECOM is seeking an experienced Air Quality Engineer for immediate, full time employment. We are seeking candidates who are heavily focused on Air Quality Compliance.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

• Research, review and analyze air quality policies and regulations

• Develop permit application packages and supporting documentation.

• Work with regulators for permit revisions and development.

• Prepare and review Air Quality Management Plans, which communicate all regulations affecting the management of air emission sources at a facility.

• Review and assess compliance methodologies employed at a facility and provide feedback and creative solutions to reduce overall risk of non-compliance.

• Mentor and supervise junior staff while managing tasks of varying sizes and complexity.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

  • 6 years of engineering experience focused on air quality compliance.

  • Valid U.S. Driver's license is required for this role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 years of engineering experience focused on air quality compliance.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations that implement the Clean Air Act.

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel.

  • Calculate air emissions according to scientific and regulatory standards.

  • Strong writing, critical thinking, and reasoning skills.

  • Mentorship Experience.

  • Nationwide travel (50% of the time).

  • Experience with APIMS and/or EESOH Experience consulting DOD clients

  • Knowledge of DOD management practices as they relate to air quality compliance.

Additional Information

  • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • Offered rate of compensation (Colorado locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
