Responsibilities for this position include various operations and maintenance activities associated with groundwater remediation systems involving capture of impacted groundwater and hydrocarbons, performing spill sampling of soils, semi-annual groundwater monitoring, compilation of field data. Candidate must have ability to work independently
High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at least 2 years experience.
Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check; many projects/clients are security sensitive.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen, and will be enrolled in random drug and alcohol testing program.
Must participate in and successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment fitness for duty questionnaire.
Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Candidate must be able to meet the medical clearance requirements of an OSHA (HAZWOPER) medical surveillance physical examination.
Selected candidate will have completed 40 hour HAZWOPER training or annual refresher class.
Excellent work ethic and team-player attitude.
Strong attention to detail, with proven ability to follow specific instructions.
An ability to effectively express his or herself orally and in writing to other project staff.
Basic computer skills.
Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in outdoor environments with uneven terrain, variable outdoor conditions including heat, cold, dryness, moisture, noise, dust and chemicals; position requires frequent standing/walking; often lifting of less than 25 pounds, operating vehicles, and performing keyboard/mouse operations; occasional lifting of 25-50 pounds, power gripping/squeezing (hand tools, levers, etc.), repetitive or fine hand movements and work alone in isolated/remote areas; and rare work with arms above shoulder level, repetitive bending & stooping, climbing stairs, using portable ladders (weight must be 300 lbs or less), operation of heavy, moving or dangerous equipment, and work in an environment of heavy, moving, dangerous equipment. Position will include wearing associated personal protective equipment, including respiratory protection.
