Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Joint Venture Accountant to join the controllership team.
This will be a hybrid work schedule position including a combination of both remote and in-office, that can be based in, but not limited to: Austin, TX: Houston, TX
Responsibilities and Duties:
Preparing monthly financial statements and reporting packages
Processing invoices, payments, and monthly journal entries
Monitoring, analyzing, and reconciling various balance sheet accounts
Working with internal customers to gather and provide information
Maintaining accounting controls and company policies
Prepare departmental reporting/reconciliations as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
BA/BS + 2 years of relevant accounting experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education..
Understanding of the fundamentals of accounting, financial reporting under US GAAP.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience with ORACLE a plus.
Advanced computer skills preferred: to include Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, IF, Macros). Hands-on experience with ORACLE financial reporting system a plus.
Consistently meets deadlines on a timely basis.
Ability to analyze and interpret data, and effectively communicate findings/results.
Must be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and multi-task.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $51,000.00 - $62,000.00.
