AECOM is seeking a highly talented, driven and motivated Design / Build engineering leader to successful deliver design excellence for D/B Highway Projects in Houston, and throughout Texas. This position will be responsible for leading and mentoring Deputy Project managersand project teams with planning, designing, and overseeing civil engineering projects involving highways, surface drainage, and utilities infrastructure.
Manages one or more very complex project, involving a combination of the following:
Clients with a national geographic footprint; OR,
Projects involving a full spectrum of services offered by IE; OR,
Other complexities, such as projects that involve litigation, environmental protection, due diligence, etc.
Manages all phases of projects (from beginning to close out).
Has consenting and regulatory authority for approvals.
Manages other Project Managers.
BA/BS + 4 YORE or AA/AS (US) + 6 YORE or Diploma/Certificate
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
10+ years of previous design experience on transportation projects including Schematic Development and Preparation of Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E)
Professional Engineer (PE)
Experience designing highway/roadway systems
Experience with design software including MicroStation and GEOPAK and/or OpenRoads
Familiar with MS Office 2010 software (Excel, Word, Project) is required to complete project communications
Must be a team player
Experience with Business Development/Client Relations
Good communication skills.
