AECOM Planner/Estimator in Las Vegas, Nevada

Job Summary

Purpose and Scope:

Responsible to develop project requirements of Engineering, Production Control, Purchasing and other applicable departments to achieve optimum utilization of facilities in meeting production schedules. When projects are awarded the position will be the overall project manager ensuring project completion.

Essential Responsibilities:

Researches and prepare cost estimates, specifications and standards, and procurement packages for construction projects.

Responsible for all coordination of the task during the planning stages with other assigned crafts, engineering, and work requester.

System expertise or knowledge of codes, construction methods and standards in electrical or mechanical disciplines is preferred.

Develop detailed schedules, material requirements lists and production plans for established Work Flows.

Knowledge of Microsoft Project or other scheduling tools preferred.

Knowledge of RSMeans is prefered

Follow weekly work schedules and communicate developments and potential issues.

Provide input to management regarding problems such as shortages, design changes, backlogs and the like.

Responsible for coordinating all paperwork when a scope change is encountered by field personnel.

Prepare scope change requests in detail using establish forms for submittal.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in related field and 2-4 years project planning experience. Excellent written communication skills; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-orientated work are required. May require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Active TS preferred.
