Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze Contractor’s Critical Path Method (CPM) Progress Schedules on various transportation and building construction contracts.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to run construction project meeting

  • Ability to provide recommendations to construction staff on the avoidance, minimization, and mitigation of construction delays

  • Review and analysis of Contractor’s requests for contract Time Extensions

  • Assist in the defense of contract time-related disputes and/or claims; including but not limited to dispute/claim analysis, defects and damage calculations, delay, disruption, and acceleration impact analysis

  • Conduct periodic construction project site visits to monitor project progress and assure progress schedule integrity, and participate in regular progress schedule meetings with the construction team

  • Provide construction management, scheduling

  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications

  • Ability to develop construction schedules or contract time determination schedules using contract documents and Primavera P6

  • Develop what-if schedules using Primavera P6

  • Assist in updating policies, procedures, specifications of guidance related to construction project management

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS degree + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Knowledge of Construction Scheduling

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical Skills: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Primavera P6

  • Experience cost loading and reviewing cost loaded construction schedules

  • Experience with time impact analysis and various delay analysis methods

  • Experience in the review and analysis of Contractor’s CPM schedule submissions utilizing Primavera P6 transportation and building construction projects

  • Good understanding of transportation and building construction methods
