Job Description
AECOM is seeking an ICT /Telecommunication Engineer specializing in complex project which may include Transportation (airports, raiways,..), healthcare and Hyperscale Data Centers to act as ICT Engineer Lead in projects.
The job incumbent will be responsible for designing or PMCM services for multiple projects, as listed above.
This position is based in Lima, with occasional site visits as needed throughout Latin America.
The ICT Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our complex building designs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ICT engineering and experience working with high-density data centers will be high valued.
Responsibilities
Preference will be given to those who have Data Center Design and Construction experience.
Design and implement ICT systems for complex buildings, including CCTV, Scada, Data server, and special item associated with the project itself.
Develop and maintain ICT schematics, bills of materials, and installation drawings.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to develop specifications, design criteria, and project budgets.
Analyze ICT systems to identify and resolve issues, with value engineering capabilities.
Lead technical deliveries to achieve deadlines with the quality and coordination required.
Stay up-to-date with advancements in ICT engineering in complex facilities and data center technologies, and recommend new technologies to improve the reliability and efficiency of our data center infrastructure.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in ICT Engineering or related field.
6+ years of relevant experience in electrical design and/or electrical engineering, with a focus on data center infrastructure.
Fluent English and Spanish. Portuguese will be consider as a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to those who have Data Center Design and Construction experience.
10 years of relevant experience in ICT design and/or electrical engineering, with a focus on data center infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of ICT design and all the related disciplines associated like;
Core data integration
Security systems
Safety systems
Facility management bms
Facility management cmms
Data communication
Voice communication
Dsr – infrastructure
Fire alarm integration
Dsr - dc assessment
Command & control system
Security & screening systems integration
Experience with high-density data centers and hyperscale environments.
Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a cross-functional team.
Ability to lead the discipline works, work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Ability to think creatively and identify opportunities to enhance the client experience.
Experience working with computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM) software.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Local expert on providing technical leadership.
Keeps informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in programs and applications.
Interprets, organizes, executes and coordinates assignments.
Makes decisions independently on technical problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work.
Applies advanced or state-of-the-art knowledge and experience to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions. The knowledge and expertise required for this level of work usually results from progressive experience.
Understanding capability for contractual clauses of project and knowing how to ensure compliance of the projects.
Supervision received is essentially administrative, with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.
