AECOM is seeking a mid-level Environmental Engineer to be based in either our Orange, Los Angeles or Long Beach, CA locations.
Responsibilities of the position include:
Research, review, and analyze water quality policy and regulations.
Lead regulatory compliance tasks relating to storm water and wastewater management.
Manage and conduct storm water sampling and inspections
Prepare and review Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).
Review and assess compliance methodologies employed at a facility and provide feedback and creative solutions to reduce overall risk of non-compliance.
Mentor and supervise junior staff while managing tasks of varying sizes and complexity.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
4 years of engineering experience focused on water quality compliance
Certified as a Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP) or Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD)
Valid Driver's license required for role
6 years of engineering experience focused on water quality compliance
P.E License is preferred, but not required.
2 years environmental consulting experience is highly desired
Strong focus and attention to detail
Project management experience
Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations that implement the Clean Water Act
Strong writing, critical thinking, and reasoning skills
Experience reviewing and/or writing Spill Prevention Countermeasure Control (SPCC) Plans
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
Relocation is not available for this position.
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $129,000.00
