We provide advisory and technical services to help clients clean up and close contaminated sites and surplus operational facilities and restore them for reuse, plan and permit new facilities, address critical climate change issues, restore habitats and water quality, protect natural and cultural resources, maintain compliance, and cost-effectively manage residuals and wastes.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support office Project Managers and Engineers by independently and responsibly completing field tasks.
Perform operations and maintenance (O&M) of multiple groundwater and soil vapor remediation systems.
Conduct soil, soil vapor, and groundwater sampling.
Perform construction management and oversight.
Accurate and timely data collection and proper documentation including field logs and scientific data.
Act as a site safety officer with a high sense of safety awareness and report incidents, near misses, and hazard recognition as needed.
Equipment troubleshooting, monitoring equipment calibration and operation, and well vault rehabilitation and maintenance.
High school degree + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check; many projects/ clients are security-sensitive.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in outdoor environments with uneven terrain and variable outdoor conditions including heat, dusts, noise, chemicals, moisture, and dryness, and vibration. Position requires frequent (more than 50% of workday) standing/walking, and operation of vehicles. Often (25-50% of workday) working with arms above shoulder level, performing repetitive bending & stooping, power gripping/squeezing (hand tools, levers, etc.), performing keyboard/mouse operations, repetitive fine hand movements, climbing stairs, using portable ladders, and lifting less than 25 pounds. Occasionally (10-25% of workday) working at heights, working in an environment of heavy, moving, dangerous equipment, working alone in isolated/remote areas, and lifting 25-50 pounds. rarely (less than 10% of workday) wearing fall protection, operating heavy, moving or dangerous equipment, performing work on electrical circuits, work in confined spaces, and lifting 50-75 pounds. Position will require wearing associated personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to safety glasses/goggles, gloves, safety shoes/boots, hard hat, and hearing protection.
Successful candidate must be able to pass baseline physical examination and participate in medical surveillance program as per 29 CFR 1910.120(f).
- Experience at Oil and Gas facilitates (refinery, terminals).
