AECOM is seeking a Midlevel experienced Environmental Engineer who will be responsible for leading the design, operation and maintenance of groundwater and soil remediation systems for our clients in the Long Beach , CA location. This position includes project management and task management for the detailed design and O&M of systems in Petroleum Refineries and Terminals in Southern California. As an experienced engineer in this location, some of your duties will include but are not limited to directing technicians and junior engineers, remediation system data analysis and trouble shooting.
A minimum of 6 years-experience response and environmental investigations and through site clean-up and closure. Candidate must also be able to work as part of a project team comprised of AECOM staff and subcontractors. You will have the flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, have a positive attitude, and a willingness to mentor junior staff. Field work may be required including oversight of subcontractors.
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:
Project and task support, report writing, cost estimating, remedial systems design support.
Qualified candidates must be comfortable with periodic travel.
Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, willingness to mentor junior staff, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative.

BA/BS and 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education
Valid Driver's license
10 years of experience in remediation engineering design and O&M
Managed projects between $250K -$1MM
