Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Safety Specialist to be based in Los Angeles, CA.
Job Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Serves in a liaison capacity with client and other various agencies engaged in promoting environmental safety and health activities.
Coordinates audits of health and safety programs within the organization.
Develops and/or implements policies and procedures to assure awareness of and compliance with health and safety requirements at multiple project locations.
Ensures that HSE incidents are properly reported and investigated as appropriate.
Ensures that quality control procedures are executed to monitor all aspects of regulations.
Develop and/or conduct basic health, safety, and environment (HSE) training to employees.
Drafts all necessary reports to federal, state, and local agencies.
Coordinates audits of health and safety programs within the organization.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree plus four (4) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Experience in developing a safety and accident prevention program for a large public or private organization
OSHA 500 and 40 hour HAZWOPER completed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety or Industrial Hygiene or closely related field
10 years of experience in leading and implementing a safety program within the public or private sector

Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $85,000-$135,000.
