Job Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced Transportation Transit/Rail Senior Project Manager to join our Los Angeles Office or San Diego Office.
JOB SUMMARY:
This is an exceptional opportunity to be involved with mega capital infrastructure transit/rail projects for our key clients. Qualified applicants will be able to demonstrate an established career in the transportation transit and rail industry and have a successful track record with the delivery of mega-transit/rail programs. The objective of the position is to lead, pursue, develop, and execute major projects required to deliver client programs within established and agreed budgets and schedules, thereby expanding AECOM’s reputation as the preferred transit/rail service consultant in the industry.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead development and execution of significant rail/transit projects including light rail, heavy rail subway, commuter rail, high-speed rail, and/or bus rapid transit surface, aerial or underground project pursuits and delivery (traditional and alternative)
Establish relationships and interact with major clients such as LA Metro, SCRRA, BNSF, UPRR, CHSRA, Caltrans
Staff and manage multidisciplinary transportation project teams during projects
A desire to work with external contractors/consultants, AECOM’s other divisions/regions and interact directly with major clients
Be a visible leader and trusted advisor to clients by promoting AECOM’s values both internally and externally
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Over 10 years of professional experience, out of which a minimum of 4 years in leading engineering / PM positions on major infrastructure projects.
PE license in California, or ability to obtain it within 6 months
Ability to scope/estimate complex projects
Track and manage task budgets and schedule experience
Demonstrate leadership skills and communication skills requiring client interaction
Ability to work with various multi-disciplined teams is essential to this role
Provide in-depth Quality Control and Quality Assurance for design/project management/program management.
Experience in working with LA Metro, SCRRA and CHSRA
Experience in Alternative Delivery

Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $142,000 - $261,000.
