Job Summary

AECOM is seeking Senior Project Manager to be based in Kansas City, MO.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project-specific objectives and policies

  • Providing management and guidance to subordinate managers enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface

  • Overseeing and ensuring all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors

  • Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout. The position has significant profit/loss responsibility for the assigned project.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • A high-level understanding of contractual agreements and obligations with a goal of minimizing risks at both the client and consultant levels

  • Must have the capacity to understand and communicate complex issues that involve all functional areas including architectural, engineering, and project budgets.

  • Must be able to provide the leadership and business judgment to effectively influence decisions involving the interests of AECOM and clients.

  • Understanding and proficiency in architectural modeling, parametric design (the expression of parameters and rules that, together, define, encode and clarify the relationship between design intent and design response), advanced project delivery methods, drawing software, and production a strong plus.

  • Thorough understanding of project work breakdown structure (WBS) plans, schedules, staffing, and budgets with an interest in financial management required.

  • Ability to manage multiple small to medium size projects of a complex scope

  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel required and familiarity with project accounting processes

  • Successful completion of AECOM Project Management Certification Program within six months is mandatory.

  • NCARB registration is desired

  • LEED Certification not required but preferred

  • Previous project management experience in large assembly architecture such as sports stadium, arenas, convention centers, airports, or religious facilities is preferred

  • Contribute to the architectural design and its development in support of the overall project
