AECOM Transportation Planner in Los Angeles, California

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Transportation Planner to be based in Houston, Texas or on the following location: Dallas, Texas; San Antonio, Texas; Austin, Texas; Chicago, Illinois; Denver, Colorado; Los Angeles, California; San Francisco, California.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages complex planning studies, development applications and reviews.

  • Conducts research and prepares statistical reports.

  • Provides professional planning assistance to member communities for transportation projects.

  • Develops plans, studies and analyses.

  • Works in regional program areas relating to transit.

  • Performs field inspections to gather data relevant to the development review process and/or to verify that development projects comply with approved plans.

  • Conducts meetings and presents reports and other findings to staff with advisory boards and elected officials.

  • Presents Safety & Security Certification requirements to internal and external customers.

  • Provides PTASP (49 CFR Part 673) guidance to internal and external clients.

  • Provides required services in BRT/LRT and heavy rail Safety & Security Certification services to internal and external clients including direction and guidance for: SSMPs; SSCP; PHAs; TVAs; DCCCs; CEL/CILs (SCIL); Systems Integration Testing (SIT); and, PRO.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of relevant experience

  • TSSP Certification

  • CSSO Certification

  • WSO Certification

Additional Information:

  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.

  • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range is $59,284-$109,677/annually (exempt).
