Job Description
AECOM Technical Services, Inc. has multiple openings for a Bridge Engineer to be based in Louisville, KY.
Job Responsibilities:
Contribute to designs, biddings, inspections, load ratings and CAD work.
Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Use specialized software and other tools, such as programming languages, to analyze data related to the design and performance of bridges.
Collect and review documentation related to the project.
Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Propose approach to solve new problems encountered. Identify discrepancies in results.
Mentor and coach junior team members, provide feedback on work, and help to develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
Provide guidance to entry level engineers.
Perform work in accordance with agreed budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
Automate repetitive tasks using computer programming.
Position requires 20% domestic travel.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in an engineering-related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Position requires experience with:
PCs and Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel;
Structural problem analysis including reinforced concrete and structural steel;
Use of design and calculation tools and software; Bentley OpenBridge Designer, Bentley LEAP, Bentley Microstation, PTC Mathcad, AASHTO BrR or MIDAS;
Programming languages including Python;
Data analysis and task automation; and
Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $76,253.00 - $112,967.00.
