The Environment Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented, and motivated intermediate level Civil Design Engineer for immediate employment in the Louisville, Kentucky office. The team is responsible for a wide range of projects typically centering on the permitting, evaluation, design, and construction administration of civil/environmental engineering projects. The successful candidate will be involved with study-phase, design-phase, and construction-phase projects related to the civil, power, environmental, construction and industrial fields. Projects will be performed under the direction of the Project Manager and/or Project Director in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Group.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Provide support for senior/lead engineers and project managers with respect to the designing, planning, and performing engineering duties on projects that include the prevention, control, and remediation of environmental health hazards utilizing various engineering disciplines, predominantly in the energy sector,
Perform assignments including calculations, engineering drawing preparation, document generation, technical writing, cost estimation, technical specifications, review of regulations, and other related services associated with the full scope of a civil/environmental engineering design project, and
Interact with multi-discipline and multi-office teams within AECOM.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field
5+ years of civil engineering experience
Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as additional versions of, AutoCAD, GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models or other drainage and water modeling software)
Ability to perform engineering calculations and be familiar with standard civil design concepts
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong organizational, technical and communication skills
Ability to work independently or within a team environment
Willing to travel, if required, to provide field resident engineering oversight on jobs - travel is expected to be occasional
Valid Driver's License required
CCR / Landfill experience a plus
Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred
