AECOM is seeking a Plant Operations Manager responsible for the oversight of the operations and maintenance of a 24/7 plant operation within a large facility. This position will coordinate with Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance Personnel to assess infrastructure conditions and mitigate risks. This position will have oversight responsibilities for the development of maintenance programs, optimizing efficiencies, and long term recapitalization plans. Additional responsibilities include the following:
Collaborate with management on plant projects to define priorities
Support initiatives to improve plant safety
Analyze results of reporting activity with regards to the cost status on assigned projects against schedules, budgets, and requirements
Determine the most effective deployment of maintenance and engineering resources
Facilitate development and effectiveness of engineering and maintenance resources
Prepare capital project requests and justifications
Work with and direct vendors and outside contractors as needed
Proactively pursue energy efficient methods for plant operations
Prepare technical written reports as required
Assure that engineering output is in compliance with existing statutory codes, company policy, and safety standards
Maintain professional competence and knowledge of developments in processes, emerging technology and products through consultation with other company technical and professional personnel as well as industry peers.
The candidate must have a thorough knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. Experience in the operation and maintenance of a major Power/Operational plant, to include experience in a steam (100,000 lb./hr. or greater capacity) and chilled water (8,000 t/hr. or greater capacity) plant. Working knowledge of facilities monitoring and control systems (i.e. SCADA/Foxboro).
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in engineering or a closely related field and 12 years’ of specific experience or the equivalent.
The candidate must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS clearance.
It is highly desired that the candidate possess a TS clearance.
