AECOM Operational Finance Analyst III in Mexico City, Mexico

Job Summary

AECOM Mexico has an immediate opening for a Operations Finance Analyst to support our rapidly growing team and project backlog in our Mexico City office. The Operations Finance Analyst will be responsible for monitoring the development daily reporting activities.

This role will require significant interaction with other business lines, internal departments and other key corporate functions (Environmental Services, Transportation Engineering, HR, Project Mgmt., etc.);to stay informed and provide accounting support. The ideal person will be involved in the entire process related billing, accounts receivable/accounts payable and other key activities related to accounting & finance areas. The activities of this position will require immediate action and be delivered promptly and efficiently according to deadlines in local and corporate calendar. This role will require frequent follow up on the daily accounting and finance activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:

  • Support whole areas (local & corporate) anytime in order to deliver calendar responsibilities.

  • Report the deliveries; communicate any moment with finance team before send information. Where appropriate, support the NTI/NTS surveys.

  • Understanding local and corporate issues and how they are related with whole projects.

  • Support on the VMF (Vendor Master File), for new vendors or subcontractors in Oracle system in general.

  • Conciliation with bank statements every week vs wires-payments in order to register first in local ERP, and before report all the information to our corporate.

  • Support the office training when is required by whole areas (related with finance activities).

  • Support on management of Corporate credit cards (Business & Employees).

  • Support on local tax validation for local invoices (SAT website), this easy activity is strong because the results will give which information will prepared to pay.

  • Efficient and proactive with his/her role first with the finance team and then with whole areas.

  • Attend regular meetings related with finance issues (timesheet, payroll, deadlines, etc.); strong communication with staff and contractors, manage the messages into the projects.

Minimum Requirements

  • 4 year experience in Finance/Accounting function

  • Accounting University degree (Bachelor's Degree).

  • Proven experience in the following areas, ideally within a multi-national construction, engineering company:

  • Accounts payable/receivable

  • Management of local & foreign issues related to:◦Taxes.

  • Banking (Cash flow, payments and wires in banking website, conciliations, etc.).

  • Reporting (Corporate's reports with AP/AR activities and vendor's management).

  • Payroll (Calculation, Reporting and management-holidays, absences, etc.).

  • Billing & Collections.

  • Language skills: 80% bilingual English / Spanish

  • Full time work in Mexico City

Preferred Qualifications

  • Full English//Spanish language fluency
