Job Summary

Our Lima Airport project team is seeking a Quality Civil Engineer / Airport Terminal to review the land side design for the Lima Airport Project. The skills required for this role include previous general experience in terminal design in all fields (civil, MEP, architectural) and civil engineering design in LatAm

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for review quality and technical designs of all airport terminal design elements including operational systems like without being restricted only to BHS, CUTE, CUSS, FIDS, BIDS, GIDS, WAYFINDING, cheking, PBB, MEP, Fire protections, elevators and all utilities, and all other infrastructure and buildings on the Terminal.

  • Responsible for coordination and communication with design team in other geographies regarding, Client requirements and design solutions, and adherence to local design standards.

  • Have the ability to understand and review the designs in accordance with the applicable technical regulations RAP314, ICAO, IATA, ARPM etc., as well as with the requirements design Contract.

  • Knowledge of civil engineering and construction systems and their integration with architecture.

  • Knowledge of the airport language.

  • Supervise Capacity / Demand studies of the different functional areas of the Terminal.

  • Be able to interpret studies of infrastructure capacity and demand.

  • Support the definition of the expansion phases of the Terminal.

  • Support the area assuming functions related to its position when it is requested.

  • Design validation of conceptual engineering, - design validation of phase two engineering, - validation of detailed engineering design.

  • Document all daily reports, quality records and material procurement traceability.

  • Develop and implement corrective measures in cases of noncompliance.

  • Perform primary quality assurance/quality control draw inspections required in conformance with the project contract specifications.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineer, Architect or Mechanical Engineer, or Aeronautic Engineer.

  • 10+ years experience in roadway design and civil engineering design.

  • Airport or transportation facilities preferred but not required.

  • Bilingual: Spanish: native / English: business level

  • Prior experience with FAA’s advisory circulars and their application in airport layout and geometric design a plus.

  • Must have experience in design tools such as AutoCAD Civil3D, Excel, and Word.
