Job Summary

Our Lima Airport project team is seeking a Quality Civil Engineer / Airside to review the land side design for the Lima Airport Project. The skills required for this role include previous general experience in airport design, roadway design, civil engineering design and construction management in LatAm; including project involvement in a variety of airside projects; rehabilitation and reconstruction of airfield pavements, navigational Aids, grading and drainage design, storm water management, utility engineering, etc. This position will also provide the opportunity to work with our growing portfolio in these divisions and support our design delivery team in the Southeast region.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Involved from project inception to completion in the quality and technical designs and construction administration of airport Airside design projects, including geometry and structure runways, taxiways and aprons, grading, drainage, navaids, AGL, safety zones, SLO, fuel systems, GSE equipment, pavement design, specifications, construction safety plans and all other infrastructure or facilities on the Airside.

  • Responsible for coordination and communication with design team in other geographies regarding, Client requirements and multi-discipline design solutions, and adherence to local and international design standards

  • Have the ability to understand and review the designs in accordance with the applicable technical regulations RAP314, ICAO, FAA, IATA, etc., as well as with the requirements design Contract

  • Analyze GIS data, client as-builts, survey data, geotechnical data, subsurface utility information and data needed for project development

  • Perform engineering calculations and support the assembly of construction specifications

  • Design validation of conceptual engineering, - design validation of phase two engineering, - validation of detailed engineering design. Perform airfield pavement design

  • Perform Quantity Take-Offs, considering costs and quantities of material, equipment and labor

  • Knowledge of the airport language

  • Supervise Capacity / Demand studies of the different functional areas of the Airfield, being able to interpret studies of infrastructure

  • Check and validate the designs with simulation tools

  • Support the definition of the expansion phases of the Airfield

  • Support the area assuming functions related to its position when it is requested

  • Prepare documentation and attend Quality Meetings

  • Implement company quality control (assurance) program manual

  • Document all daily reports, quality records and material procurement traceability

  • Develop and implement corrective measures in cases of noncompliance

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program

  • 10+ years of experience in Airports design and civil engineering design

  • Professional experience in all aspects of site civil engineering for design, including grading and drainage design, utility design, etc.,

  • Airport and airside facilities required

  • Bilingual: Spanish: native/ English: business level

  • Must have experience in design tools such as AutoCAD Civil3D, Excel, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with FAA’s advisory circulars and their application in airport layout and geometric design a plus
