Job Description

AECOM is seeking for an experienced Underground Metro Line PMO Director for employment in Bogota, Colombia.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the planning, organization, integration, and control of the development of all the activities that the consulting team will carry out and the products to be delivered.

  • PMO Director will oversee the project management process including governance, team leadership, tracking and monitoring, prioritization, communication, and quality controls.

  • Lead the PMO Services throughout the Contract Term

  • Integrate and coordinate with the client and Client Project Delivery and Technical Team.

  • Mobilize and manage resources required to support the project.

  • Reporting regularly on all services provided.

  • Liaising with the supporting stakeholders within client team.

  • Actively display and promote the collaborative behavior required to support the Project Approach.

  • Management of Project Teams and Coordinators.

  • Management of scope, budget, and schedule, including contract administration, claims and quality compliance.

  • Support and develop safety culture of the team and ensure core values are met.

  • Work proactively with client to rapidly identify, escalate, and resolve any issues with the contracted services.

  • Lead the delivery of the project team.

  • Assure the adoption of the Project Procedures across the teams.

  • Integrate sustainable practices into project management processes where applicable.

  • Consider environmental and social impacts in decision-making.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Professional degree in engineering with specialization, master’s, or doctoral studies in Project Management or alternatively Business Administration (MBA) + 10 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years in a Senior Leadership position ideally leading large Rail Infrastructure projects.

  • Specific experience of at least 10 years in management and/or general or technical management of projects, works and/or companies or entities developing, operating or administering Metro-type rail transport systems, having intervened in such capacity in at least three (3) Metro-type underground railway works projects (at least two of them excavated with TBM), that together add up to at least twenty (20) km of tunnels built with TBM and at least twelve (12) underground stations for Metros.

  • Strong Technical capability including all project phases from design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance preferably large program/projects.

  • Considerable experience of delivering in collaborative working arrangements.

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering large programs as part of an integrated team.

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering targeted Project benefits.

  • Strong knowledge of relevant subway and railway standards applicable in industry guidelines and current transit-oriented practices.

  • Preferable experience with construction in a busy urban environment

  • Expertise in project analytics and scenario testing

  • Expertise in presenting factual and accurate project reports to a range of audiences and at various levels of detail.

Preferred Qualification:

  • 15+ years of experience

  • Experience in program management inclusive of at least five (5) in a Senior Leadership position.
