Job Description

AECOM LATAM is seeking for an experienced Risk Management Sr. Manager to provide leadership and direction regarding all Risk Management initiative related to projects and operating protocols.

Position can be based out of our US offices or any one of our key LATAM offices.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Risk Assessment and Management: Lead comprehensive risk assessments across LATAM projects, ensuring risks are effectively identified, evaluated, and mitigated throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Project Risk Management: Provide expert guidance to project teams, identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks. Develop and implement robust risk management plans, monitor and control risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Planning and implementing risk management processes, establishing contingency plans, and identifying potential threats to project timelines and deliverables.

  • Risk Mitigation and Contingency Planning: Assist project teams in identifying and mitigating high-risk pursuits, developing comprehensive insurance strategies, and creating contingency plans to address potential challenges.

  • Risk Governance: Drive compliance with regional risk committee processes and ensure adherence to AECOM's Risk Matrix.

  • Performance Analysis: Collaborate with internal teams to analyze project performance, identify trends, and assess their impact on AECOM's profitability and claims.

  • Claims Management: Support operations managers in managing and resolving claims efficiently.

  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong client relationships, understand their unique needs, and deliver exceptional risk management services tailored to their specific requirements.

  • Client Satisfaction: Prioritize client satisfaction by delivering timely and effective risk management solutions, fostering open communication, and addressing client concerns promptly.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Engineering or Architecture degree with 10 or more years of experience in Project Management and at least 5 years of experience in Risk Management or combination of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering Project and Risk Management services on EPC infrastructure projects, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and compliance.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, effectively communicate risk management strategies, and ensure client satisfaction.

  • Understanding of engineering and consulting industry compliance standards and regulations.

  • Fully Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in Project Management and at least 10 years of experience in project Risk Management.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex risk management concepts to both technical and non-technical teams.

  • Proven ability to manage and provide oversight of the Risk Management process on multiple projects while balancing other key functional responsibilities.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

  • Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) Certification.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $126,505.00 - $225,000.00.
