Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Builds analytic and design skills.
Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an
Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
- Bachelor's degree + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in structural design.
Experience in transportation related projects.
Engineer-in-Training or ability to obtain EIT (FE) registration within 6 months is required.
Bridge Engineer with 2 or more years of experience in bridge design.
Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, including technical report writing
Knowledgeable of standard engineering practices, techniques and applicable Codes.
Project experience on State DOT projects in Wisconsin
A current P.E. license (S.E. preferred) in the State of WI or on track
Master's degree a plus
Project management skills, including proposal preparation
Occasional travel; driving to/from job sites
Structural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools, software)
Knowledge of current structural modeling software tools
