AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer II to be based in one of our Wisconsin offices.

About DCS—Water

  • With more than 3,200 Water professionals in all major markets throughout the United States and Canada, AECOM’s Water business line leverages nearly a century of local, national and international project experience to provide today’s municipalities, industries and governments with cost-effective solutions to their Water challenges. We deliver our services—from environmental planning studies to detailed design, construction management, and operations and maintenance—to a wide range of public and private sector clients. Our public sector work encompasses everything from small rural communities, to large urban centers, to agencies with regional responsibilities. Our private sector work includes assignments for multiple commercial/industrial sectors, including oil and gas, chemicals, power, food and beverage, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with a team of Project Managers, Water Resources Engineers and GIS specialists in support of floodplain modeling and mapping studies, water quality plans, civil engineering design, transportation-related drainage design, and other water resources and municipally-related drainage projects

  • Performs Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) and Water Quality modeling and analyses

  • Perform one dimensional and two-dimensional floodplain modeling using software applications like HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and SRH2D

  • Efficiently work with ArcGIS software in support of floodplain modeling and mapping

  • Prepare design and plans using CAD design software such as Autodesk Civil 3D or Microstation Geopak

  • Prepare project reports including engineering calculations, research, planning and technical engineering reports

  • Assist project managers and senior engineers in several types of water resources projects like transportation drainage design, and storm water planning and design

  • Assist in field investigations in collecting data to perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and design

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Water Resources emphasis + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • EIT required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Civil Engineering

  • 3+ years of related experience in water resources is preferred

  • Professional Engineering License (PE) or ability to obtain within 1 year.

  • HEC-RAS and ArcGIS or CAD experience

  • WinSLAMM experience
