AECOM Electrical & Instrumentation Superintendent in Monaca, Pennsylvania
US AECOM Industrial Maintenance, Inc. is looking for a Night Shift Electrical and Instrumentation Superintendent for our Maintenance division. This position will be located in Monaca, PA on the Shell Cracker Plant Facility. This is a temporary position to work on the ECU Start Up.
The Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Superintendent is responsible for leading the Electrical & Instrumentation function to improve site productivity, reliability, and efficiency by contributing to the design, construction, commissioning and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems and machines of the site. The Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Superintendent is responsible for leading the daily activities for a team of technicians in the areas of safety, quality, and maintenance for all equipment.
Presents, supports and lead by example with a safety and quality attitude.
Monitor job costing, quality reporting, forecasting, and productivity
Develops work plans, means and methods, and schedule to maximize progress in asafe and timely manner.
Responsible for workmanship and conformity with drawings and specifications
Organizing and coordinate all subcontractor activities
Approve and supervise equipment and procedural modifications as recommended by personnel.
Oversee the training of operating and I/E personnel in the proper operation andmaintenance of new and existing instrumentation and electrical control equipment toinsure maximum operating efficiency.
Oversee and make final approval of ordering stock equipment and repair partsnecessary for efficient operation and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Direct efforts in trouble shooting repetitive problems and validating corrective actions
Develops action plans to address maintenance inefficiencies and repeat equipment failures
Coordinate all electrical work with other team supervisors.
Prepare, review, distribute and/or maintain all required installation documentation.
Execute industrial electrical plant maintenance including preventative maintenancetasks and troubleshooting plant electrical equipment
Monitor and address safety hazards or potential problems with site management.
Monitor codes and specifications, installation methods.
Maintain thorough knowledge of the systems and equipment being installed.
Attend meetings with company management, contractors, and others, to keep theinstallation on track, and address concerns, etc.
Identify problems and opportunities and implement solutions relating to quality, schedule,safety, and cost improvement. Measure and report results.
Utilize PLC (Programmer Logically Controlling) and DCS (Distributed Control System) to review electrical and instrumentation system controls and identify and troubleshoot equipment failures
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor of Science Engineering degree in discipline related to electrical, civil, environmental or instrumentation and controls.
State Electrical Journeyperson License or Master Electrician's License.
6 years’ experience knowledge of electrical construction or maintenance, design, and cost management as a Superintendent in an industrial environment .
Able to work Night Shift.
Must be willing to be onsite at Client location.
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizen and/or Permanent Resident is required.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in indoor and outdoor environments with uneven terrain. Variable environmental conditions include heat, dusts, noise, and chemicals.
Position will include conducting field work and wearing associated personal protective equipment, including but not limited to gloves, safety glasses/goggles, safety shoes/boots, hard hat, and hearing protection.
No relocation assistance and/or Per Diem.
Proficient in MS Office
Experience with 480VAC +, VFD’s, motor control, troubleshooting electrical in industrial setting
Troubleshooting, repair, and PM/calibration of a wide range of instrumentation(temp, flow, proximity, pressure, valves, gas sensors, pH, etc.)
Ability to read and understand PFD’s and P&ID’s
Ability to plan and implement a maintenance and repair program for I/E equipment.
Ability to supervise in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale.
Ability to train and instruct I/E maintenance personnel regarding installation,maintenance, and repair of I/E equipment.
Experience with DCS and PLC control systems
Ability to relate well with consulting and contracting personnel andfederal and state officials
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in fast paced environment
Advanced abilities in reading and interpreting plans and specifications
Ability to schedule, assign, coordinate, and follow-up on multiple jobs daily.
Valid Driver’s License required to drive company vehicles on property.
Knowledge of Thermon Heat trace
