The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Lead engineering teams consisting of entry to mid-level engineers and technicians in the development of roadway and bridge design plans for transportation projects with WVDOH and local agencies
Perform business development and marketing activities in order to generate future business
Project scoping and budget development, including complex and high-profile roadway design projects
Communicate with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and the public
Manage innovative transportation projects including financial, schedule, and design task management to deliver high-quality plans
Project financials, invoicing, and cash collections
Assist with development of marketing strategies for targeted projects and clients within West Virginia
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited school
10+ years of experience working on transportation projects
West Virginia PE license (or the ability to obtain)
Ability to scope/estimate complex roadway/bridge projects
Ability to track and manage project budgets and schedules
Capable of using a spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
Experience developing and mentoring junior staff
Must be able to thrive in a team environment
Must have excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
Valid driver's license required
MicroStation and InRoads experience with an emphasis on traffic, transportation engineering, water resources, structures or other related field required.
Leadership skills to develop engineers and project managers
