AECOM Environmental Data Analyst in Morrisville, North Carolina

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated environmental data analyst for employment in the Morrisville NC office. This person will work on commercial and federal projects involving site investigation and remediation of soil/groundwater. The applicant will be involved in day-to-day issues concerning coordination of analytical work with commercial laboratories, data review/validation, database management, and problem resolution.
The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to;
Determination of appropriate analytical methods as part of the project planning process
Coordination / tracking of analytical work with commercial laboratories
Review of laboratory data packages for completeness such as data review/validation, import file preparation, database import, report table generation, and quality issue resolution
Will be involved in the development of project Work Plans and Quality Assurance Project Plans
Will interact with project managers, field staff, and commercial laboratory personnel when coordinating analytical work for a given sampling event.
Will have a strong attention-to-detail with excellent analytical, judgement, and problem solving capabilities
B.S. Chemistry or other related field required
2 to 5 years of relevant experience
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Experience using MS Excel to manipulate and organize data sets for import into a database and for final reporting
Must be able to write and convey thoughts, and organize data in an efficient and clear manner;
Must have excellent attention to detail; effectively multi-task; and desire to contribute to a dynamic team
Ability to work under pressure within tight schedules
Experience with Earthsoft EQuIS and EnviroData Microsoft Access relational databases
Knowledge of North Carolina environmental regulations, CERCLA, and RCRA
