AECOM Quality Control / Safety Manager in Morrisville, North Carolina

Job Summary

  • Supervises the monitoring and evaluation process to ensure that AECOM quality management systems are being followed and evidence is recorded and maintained.

  • Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies.

  • Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization.

  • Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including understanding of current business trends.

  • Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.

  • May have budget responsibilities.

  • Manages the coordination of activities of a group or department with responsibility for results.

  • In some instances, may be responsible for functional area and may not have direct reports.

  • Degree or equivalent in related field typically required, degree in quality control preferred.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or a related field and 6 years of related experience and/or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Minimum Requirement Equivalencies:

  • AA/AS degree in a related field and 8 years of related experience

  • High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of related experience

Additional Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of combined experience as a Superintendent, QC Manager Project Manager, or Project Engineer

  • Familiar with requirements of USACE EM 385-1 and experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance

  • Computer/Software proficiency with Microsoft Office proficiency required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Proficient in English in both written and oral communication

Preferred Qualifications

  • USACE (United States Army Corp of Engineers) Construction Quality Management for Contractors Training/Certification

  • Previous experience working with government clients; for example USACE and USAF
