AECOM Senior Traffic Engineer in Murray, Utah

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer possessing a high energy level, that is self-motivated, and has superior client service and business development skills sets. This professional must be passionate about providing high quality services, and be able to grow the service line. This professional engineer will lead, mentor and work with a team of engineers and technicians designing and producing roadway project delivery excellence.

The selected professional will perform a variety of transportation planning and engineering tasks and be proficient in micro‐simulation and Microsoft Office products. Additional experience with travel demand modeling, GIS and databases is preferred. This professional will support transit and roadway design as well as transportation planning efforts

Responsibilities include:

  • Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team

  • Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.

  • Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.

  • Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.

  • Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.

  • Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.

  • Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.

  • Prepares technical specification sections.

  • Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS + 6 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in traffic engineering

  • Utah Professional Engineering license

  • PTOE certification

  • Experience in micro‐simulation and Microsoft Office products.

  • Experience with travel demand modeling

  • GIS and databases experience
