Job Summary

AECOM's US West Region Transit/Rail Division is seeking a Strategic Initiatives Lead to manage internal and external projects that support the growth and strategy of the transit and rail business throughout the region.

About the position:

The qualified candidate will have experience in the capture and delivery of major planning and engineering transit projects and pursuits throughout the country and has experience in the identification and implementation of strategic initiatives for business operations within key transit and rail markets. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Pursuit oversight and capture manager role as necessary

  • Pursuit recommendations based on understanding of market, clients, and available staff

  • Ensure client relations are sound

  • Identify and make key hires as necessary for growth of business

  • Working with leadership to identify strategic plans and initiatives for key clients

  • Development of process and procedures to streamline business operations including key internal KPIs internal

  • Key client account management

In addition, the candidate may:

  • Possess extensive knowledge of the company’s philosophy and policies.

  • Specialize in international business development and sales.

  • Possess advanced job knowledge and is fully competent in all aspects of the job.

  • Perform complex assignments requiring independent decisions.

  • Resolve problems using sophisticated techniques and an exceptional degree of ingenuity.

  • May work independently or under limited direction

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree and minimum 12 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the capture and delivery of major planning and engineering transit projects throughout the U.S.

  • Experience with identifying and implementing strategic initiatives for business operations within key transit and rail markets
