Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work with a team of Project managers, Water Resources Engineers and GIS specialists in support of FEMA floodplain modeling and mapping studies, transportation drainage design, and other several water resources projects
Performs Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling and analyses to comply with FEMA guidelines and specifications
Perform one dimensional and two-dimensional floodplain modeling using software applications like HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and SRH2D
Efficiently work with ArcGIS software in support of floodplain modeling and mapping
Prepare project reports including engineering calculations, research, planning and technical engineering reports
Assist project managers and senior engineers in several water resources projects like transportation drainage design, and storm water planning and design
Assist in field investigations in collecting data to perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Water Resources emphasis + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
3+ years of related experience in water resources is preferred
Professional Engineering License (PE) or ability to obtain within 1 year.
Hec-Ras and ArcGIS experience
