AECOM is seeking a Water Resources Engineer II to be based Murray, UT

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with a team of Project managers, Water Resources Engineers and GIS specialists in support of FEMA floodplain modeling and mapping studies, transportation drainage design, and other several water resources projects

  • Performs Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling and analyses to comply with FEMA guidelines and specifications

  • Perform one dimensional and two-dimensional floodplain modeling using software applications like HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and SRH2D

  • Efficiently work with ArcGIS software in support of floodplain modeling and mapping

  • Prepare project reports including engineering calculations, research, planning and technical engineering reports

  • Assist project managers and senior engineers in several water resources projects like transportation drainage design, and storm water planning and design

  • Assist in field investigations in collecting data to perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Water Resources emphasis + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Civil Engineering

  • 3+ years of related experience in water resources is preferred

  • Professional Engineering License (PE) or ability to obtain within 1 year.

  • Hec-Ras and ArcGIS experience
