AECOM Architect III in New York City, New York
AECOM is hiring a licensed Architect III for our Justice Architecture studio in New York, New York. This individual will collaborate directly with our Principal Architect to develop and deliver construction documents and specifications on transportation projects of various scale in size and complexity as part of an experienced, talented project team. Immediately earn opportunities for additional project responsibilities as necessary skills are developed and demonstrated.
This position is expected to begin in August 2021.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Working closely with a Principal Architect and leading a team of junior architects and designers, preparing and presenting client-focused design solutions
In collaboration with a Principal Architect, performing technical assignments of moderate to high complexity, consistent with approved schedules and budgets
Supporting the pursuit of exciting new transportation projects via Power Point and 3D Presentations.
Completing and reviewing models and drawings during all design phases
May coordinate and collaborate activities with employees in other disciplines and departments, internally and externally
Preparing or directing designs, renderings, sketches, diagrams, schematic and working drawings to illustrate design solutions
Developing and documenting details to communicate design intent
Developing, adapt, or modifying design features and details
Selecting and specifying finish materials and furniture
Bachelor of Architecture or Masters of Architecture from a NAAB accredited university and 4+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Excellent working knowledge of Autodesk CAD and BIM-Revit
6+ years of related experience
Ability to lead a team and deliver complex technical drawings in time and in budget
Ability to interact with senior representatives of client organizations
Knowledge of project design and construction document production, standard construction techniques and principals
Familiarity with building materials and detailing, construction documents organization.
Effective communication skills
