AECOM Job Captain - Interior Architecture in New York City, New York
Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a creative, highly talented Job Captain for immediate employment in our New York City office.
Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.
Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.
Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.
Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.
May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
Maintain line of communication and collaborative working relationship with leadership
Assist management of quality control and team performance for interiors projects
Provide consistent and timely communication of project information with the project team
Assist with maintaining resource library vendor contacts and relevant content with staff
Regional domestic travel will be required
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Interior Design
Minimum of four (4) years of related interior architectural experience
One (1) year Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite experience in a professional capacity required
One (1) year experience with all project phases including pre-design through construction administration
One (1) year contract interiors FF+E market for coordination purposes experience
One (1) year building codes, standards and building structures experience
Preferred Qualifications
3D modeling software experience (Rhino, 3D Studio Max) a plus.
LEED Accreditation required within 12 months of employment
Self-starter and ability to work with multiple project teams
Experience working in a complex team structure
Ability to communicate design through appropriate media to client and team
Base building project experience (core and shell)
Commercial, Institutional and/or Educational project experience
