AECOM Senior DevOps Engineer in New York City, New York

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to be based out of our N.Y. office location, however, a remote/virtual work situation is also available.

Responsibilities

  • Full Development of PowerApps canvas and model-driven apps

  • Build Enterprise-level mobile solutions, utilizing best practices within Power Platform Community

  • Use multiple OOTB Connectors with PowerApps and Flow, and preferably create custom connectors for PowerApps and Microsoft Flow

  • Responsible Re-write and re-engineer custom legacy applications to PowerApps solutions

  • Will time to time address and remediate security vulnerability findings in PowerApps

  • Integrate Power BI Reports and dashboards into PowerApps

  • Will interact with different teams and communicate proposed designs and progress on the work to customers, team leads, and team members

  • Support cross-functional project teams consisting of app development, IT operations in the cloud

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipeline configurations to orchestrate provisioning and deployment of systems

  • Will contribute to developing and maintaining microservices on AWS architecture

  • Works under limited supervision

  • Keeps Management advised as to the status of assignment(s) concerning schedule, budgets, delays, and adverse problems

  • Provides technical assistance and guidance to team members

  • Assists in the training and evaluation of assigned technical personnel

  • Continually upgrades technical knowledge and capabilities

  • Assures quality, quantity, and completeness of assigned tasks

  • Plans and schedules discipline efforts associated with assignment(s)

  • Assures the timeliness and accuracy of oral and written technical reports on assigned discipline activities

  • Maintains proper files and records

  • Performs a variety of other discipline-related work, as required

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or IT related field with 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Experience managing web-scale infrastructure using modern technologies and DevOps principles

  • Experience with the public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working on highly available, fault-tolerant distributed systems

  • 4+ years of experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Serverless Framework, Chef, Ansible or SAM

  • 4+ years of experience in at least one of the following programming languages: Ruby, Javascript, Java or Python

  • A strong understanding of operating systems and the nuances of Linux

  • A strong understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, load balancing, proxies and firewalls

  • Experience managing web applications operating at web scale

  • Expertise in Docker, both as a client as well as owner of the platform

  • Designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting all components of SharePoint Online and Power Apps and all related applications / services.

  • Experience in the Microsoft Power Platform – MS PowerApps, MS Power automate (Formerly MS Flow) and Custom Connectors.
