AECOM Senior Environmental Planner in New York City, New York

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Environmental Planner for employment in the New York, NY office. The position would involve managing and preparing New York City environmental assessment documents pursuant to CEQR/SEQRA/NEPA, as well as Uniform Land Use Review (ULURP) applications.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing and preparing CEQR and SEQRA environmental assessments and impact statements, and ULURP applications

  • Leading environmental studies for infrastructure projects including rezoning, development-related projects, renewable energy, power, water and, transportation

  • Serving as Project Manager for planning projects

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in or related to Planning

  • 8+ years of relevant experience to include preparation of CEQR and SEQRA environmental assessments and impact statements, experience with ULURP applications and serving as a project manager

  • Experience preparing proposal scopes of work and cost estimates

  • AICP certification

  • Strong writing and communication skills.. Writing samples may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree highly desired
