Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Senior Program Management Director to lead a multi-disciplinary program team to support asset owner’s construction of a multibillion electrical infrastructure project. Project is expected to have a schedule duration of greater than 5 years.

For this role, AECOM offers the freedom and flexibility to work remotely and/or be located at a variety of Energy offices in multiple locations across the United States through our Freedom to Grow program.

Responsibilities for the position include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Manages a private capital program(s) of significant size and complexity, and significant financial impact.

  • Prepares and delivers presentations on behalf and in support of the client’s program.

  • Serves as the single point of contact to the client and acts as a liaison between management and clients on advanced program-related issues.

  • Interacts with executive level government or public officials and/or executive level clients on significant program matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

  • Assesses and manages risk on behalf of the client.

  • Lead the development and implementation of a project execution plan in support of the successful execution of the project or program

  • Lead a diverse team of professionals including, but not limited to: project managers, construction managers, project controls professionals, estimating, public outreach, procurement professionals, environmental professionals, consultants, owners engineering, safety professionals, risk management etc.

  • Establish and lead a Project Management Office (PMO) in support of the delivery of the project

DCS—Energy

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

  • BA/BS degree and 10+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience.

  • Experience must include previous management of transmission and distribution (T&D) projects including high voltage substations and transmission lines.

  • Experience leading the development and implementation of a project execution plan in support of the successful execution of the project or program.

  • Experience leading a diverse team of professionals including, but not limited to: project managers, construction managers, project controls professionals, estimating, public outreach, procurement professionals, environmental professionals, consultants, owners engineering, safety professionals, risk management etc.

  • Extensive experience in contract negotiation, risk mitigation and change management Experience managing large scale EPC contracts.

  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience within the New York State electric market

  • 15+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience with HVDC technologies

  • Experience with offshore power, subsea cables

  • Experience managing a P&L

  • PMP certification preferred

  • Experience managing transmission level grid interconnects

  • High Voltage power engineering and/or construction related experience

  • Offered rate of compensation (NYC locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $155,525.49 - $284,022.16 annually exempt.
